Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of handheld device can I use?

Any smartphone or tablet with Internet connectivity using cellular data should be fine. Devices that only access the Internet through Wi-Fi hotspots will not work. Make sure devices are FULLY CHARGED.

Do I need to download or install any software?

No. Kloozo is a mobile web app that uses your Internet Web Browser. Simply visit kloozo.nz and click Start.

How many people can be on one team?

While there is no specific limit to the number of players, we recommend 2 - 5 people on each team.

When can I play?

You can play Kloozo any time! There are no set times or dates, no tour guides to meet and no one to check in with at the starting location. If there are multiple teams at the start location, we recommend teams start at 5-minute intervals.

Can I purchase now and play later?

Yes. You can purchase your Kloozo quest ahead of time. Upon completion of your payment, you will receive a confirmation email with details about the starting location. When your team is ready to start, go to kloozo.nz and click Start.

How long will the quest take?

Each quest is unique and the time it will take to complete depends on whether you are racing or enjoying it at a more casual pace. Time estimates are provided, and we suggest you start your quest early enough to complete it within daylight hours.

Can I stop the quest and continue later?

Yes. Exit your quest by clicking Pause and then closing your Browser page. To re-start your quest, sign in using your code and click Start.

Is there an age requirement?

Kloozo appeals to a wide range of ages. All quests are outdoors, and most are in public spaces. Many quests include road crossings and traffic hazards. Children must be accompanied by adults at all times.

What items should I bring?

We suggest comfortable walking shoes, water, snacks, and of course, at least one FULLY CHARGED Smartphone or Tablet that has mobile Internet data connectivity.

What Do I Win?

There are no prizes for winning but you do get bragging rights for being the fastest team.

For corporate team-building events or anyone with multiple teams, the organiser will sometimes offer prizes - but that is entirely up to the person co-ordinating the event.
